For the painter, engraver and watercolorist André Lambert (Stuttgart 1884-Paris 1967), Jávea was not only a shelter of confort, but also a source of inspiration. So much that he left the intellectual avant-garde Paris where he lived to finally settle in Jávea. His love for this land is reflected in the many art pieces where he expressed the special charm of this land. Also by the name of Domus Lambertina, Casa Lambert is located in the Portitxol area. The painter André Lambert set up here his workshop, atelier and also his home, away from the center of Jávea.

There, between nature and somewhat isolated, his two children grew up and he brought to light numerous works.

We hope with our proposal we can promote some kind of foundation/art school to remind, explore and expand Lambert’s heritage.
